Support and Quality Assurance

Both the mentees and the mentors have the opportunity to contact the coordination in person, by telephone or by e-mail at any time with questions and suggestions about the program.

In addition, the support provided by the project coordination includes the following aspects:

Reader on content-related and organizational issues of the program
Initial interview with potential mentees and search for and information about potential mentors
If possible, and if requested, moderation of the first tandem meeting of the mentee peer group and the mentor, support in setting goals and scheduling meetings
Semester meeting with the mentees and telephone call/questionnaire with the mentors
Written invitations to seminars, workshops, network meetings or coaching events, e-mail arrangements for regulars' tables, etc.
For quality assurance and qualified further development of the program, A²-Mentoring is continuously evaluated on the basis of the quality standards of Forum Mentoring e.V., the umbrella organization of German university mentoring programs.

For this purpose we use:

Preliminary survey via application or profile questionnaire
Interim evaluation as a group session and electronically using EvaSys
Final evaluation by means of EvaSys and in the form of individual interviews.
We are a member of Forum Mentoring e.V. and actively participate in regional and supra-regional mentoring networks, such as the Network Mentoring NRW and the International Conference Mentoring in Medicine. In this way, program managers exchange experiences, advise on new concepts, and develop strategies for continuous improvement of the programs.
