Performance bonus for DFG third-party funding

The Faculty of Medicine would like to use the performance bonus as an incentive to obtain third-party funding from the DFG (German Research Foundation). Eligible to apply are academic employees of the Faculty of Medicine who are subject to the TV-L and have currently successfully acquired research funds through individual projects at the DFG.

How much is the performance bonus?

The amount of the performance bonus depends on the total volume of the acquired DFG project in euros. The entitlement to the bonus arises from an acquired third-party funding volume of 50,000 euros per project. The performance bonus can amount to a maximum of 4,800 euros.

The amount of the performance bonus is calculated according to the amount of DFG funds awarded, excluding the program allowance.

What deadlines must be observed?

The award can be applied once per acquired DFG project, at the earliest from receipt of the funding decision and at the latest before the end of the funding period.
