Clinician Scientist

Currently, the Faculty of Medicine offers two Clinician Scientist programmes. One programme is funded by the Faculty's Research Commission. The second programme with a focus on metabolic medicine under the name FUTURE-4-CSPMM at the Clinic of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Infectiology of the UKD is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Clinican Scientist Programme of the Faculty of Medicine

The Clinican Scientist Programme of the Faculty of Medicine aims to support doctors with doctoral and scientific degrees in their research projects during their specialist training. The programme, which offers three levels, provides an optimal integration of clinical training with scientific activity.

Metabolic Medicine

FUTURE-4-CSPMM: Shaping the Future for Clinician Scientists in Precision Metabolic Medicine

The DFG-funded Clinician Scientist Programme FUTURE-4-CSPMM aims to overcome the traditional boundaries between disciplines in the field of metabolic diseases and offers research-enthusiastic physicians the opportunity to conduct interdisciplinary research in the field of metabolic diseases alongside their specialist training in an excellent and diverse research environment.
