Service Rates

The instruments of the Core Facility Flow Cytometry are available to users either through full-service or self-service.

Generally, it is the CFFC's responsibility to decide on the extent of instruction required for users and whether the measurement will be performed by the user personally or by CFFC staff.

Self-Service Operation: Using the instruments in self-service operation requires users to receive detailed instruction and training on the respective devices from CFFC personnel. This training must be documented by both parties. Independent booking and use of the instruments will only be approved after successfully completing the training.

Full-Service: For assisted operation, the user drops off the samples at the CFFC, and the measurements or sorting procedures are carried out entirely by CFFC staff.

As a rule, Class III instruments (cell sorters) are operated in full-service operation mode to ensure the smooth running of the CFFC.
