Core Unit Bioinformatics

The Core Unit Bioinformatics (CUBI) was established in July 2022 as part of the Core Facility infrastructure of the Medical Faculty. CUBI provides bioinformatics analysis as a paid service to researchers across clinics and institutes at Heinrich Heine University (HHU).

In its work, CUBI not only aims to deliver high-quality, reproducible data analysis using modern methods but also adheres to the principles of Open Science, with a particular focus on freely accessible software. Within CUBI’s operational environment, various specialized departments - such as the Research Data Management Competence Center, Research IT, and the Data Integration Center - collaborate to address the diverse needs of contemporary biomedical research projects.

As a member of the Center for Digital Medicine, CUBI ensures continuous access to bioinformatics expertise across multiple specializations. This creates excellent conditions for CUBI’s team to tackle even complex research questions in a goal-oriented and customer-focused manner.
