Detailaufnahme: Campusplan Bereich UKD

Lage und Anreise

You will find the facilities of the Heinrich Heine University (HHU) and the University Hospital (UKD) on the university campus in the south of Düsseldorf, only about 3.5 km from the city center and the main train station.

Arrival by public transport

Timetable information
The university campus is a small town in itself. Therefore, there are several bus and tram stops. A special offer for first-year students, from which all other students also benefit, is the Rheinbahn campus map.
With the help of the Rheinbahn timetable information, you can find the quickest way to your destination.

Arriving by train
Düsseldorf main station is connected to all international long-distance routes. From there, tram line 704 runs directly to the University Hospital: direction Uni-Kliniken.
Alternatively, you can reach this stop via Bilk S-Bahnhof with the underground lines U71, U73 and U83.

Arrival by bus
If you add up the grounds of HHU (Heinrich Heine University) and UKD (University Hospital), this results in a large campus area. To reach the medical dean's office on the grounds of the university hospital, a total of four bus stops can be approached:

  • Uni Klinik (SB50, 780, 782, 785, NE6).
  • Moorenstraße (723, 827, 835, 836, NE7)
  • Chlodwigstraße (835, 836)
  • Professor-Dessauer-Weg (835, 836)

Arrival by car

From the east
the university can be reached from the Hildener Kreuz (A3 / A46) via the Düsseldorf-Süd motorway junction (A46). Take the A 46 to Düsseldorf-Uni / Zentrum. Then go straight on for about 1,000 metres and turn left into Moorenstraße (signposted to Uni-Klinik). It is then about 400 metres to the entrance to the clinic.

From the west
the A46 and A57 come together at the Neuss-Süd motorway junction. After the Rhine bridge (Fleher Brücke) take the exit Bilk / Zentrum / Hafen / Benrath.  At the exit, take a sharp right into Merowingerstraße (around the high-rise building) until you reach the roundabout; go all the way around here and turn into Uhlenbergstraße. Then go straight on for about 300 metres until you reach Moorenstraße (entrance to the clinic).

From the city centre
take Corneliusstraße and Witzelstraße (direction Wuppertal, A46), then turn right onto Moorenstraße.

On the grounds of the University Hospital
There is a charge for parking on the hospital grounds. Visitors can park on the grounds as well as in the multi-storey car park at the northern entrance or in the large car park to the south of the grounds. The visitor parking spaces are signposted with a blue P sign. Vehicles parked outside the signposted areas will unfortunately be towed away for a fee.

The ZOM II visitor car park in the centre of the hospital grounds has a separate barrier. To access this car park, please use the parking ticket issued at the north or south entrance.

Arriving by plane

Düsseldorf Airport is one of the largest airports in Europe. There is a convenient connection to the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) by S-Bahn and from there by line 704 in the direction of the university clinics (Uni-Kliniken).

Alternatively, you can take the S-Bahn to Bilker S-Bahnhof and then either the U-Bahn lines U71, U73 and U83 or bus lines 835/836 to the Uni-Kliniken stop.
