The ERC supports ground-breaking project ideas from excellent scientists in all fields of research. Scientific excellence, both with regards to the research project idea and the researchers themselves, is the sole evaluation criterion for funding. Researchers from different career stages can apply for funding for 5 years from €1,5 mio. (ERC Starting Grant, 2-7 years after PhD) to €2 mio. (ERC Consolidator Grant, 7-12 years after PhD).
Interested in applying for an ERC Starting or Consolidator Grant?
Then join us on January 22 for our online event “Applying for ERC Grants: Expert Advice and Success Stories”.
Together with the ERC National Contact Point, an ERC panelist and successful ERC grantees, we will provide you with detailed information on:
- What makes ERC funding special?
- What profile do you need to be an ERC applicant?
- How to build the proposal?
- Tips and tricks on how to apply, both from successful grantees and a panelist.
The event will take place online and in English.
The registration link can be found here.
For those of you who specifically want to apply for the next ERC Starting (deadline October 2025) or Consolidator Grant (deadline January 2026) deadlines, we will offer the possibility of an intensive individual consultation together with the National Contact Point a couple of months before the deadline. You will receive more detailed information at the end of the information event in January. A separate registration for the individual coachings will be opened beginning of February.
